The mission of KJI Institute is to educate and inspire every young person on the Arts regardless of the discipline that has chosen them. Our artists will be taught with curriculum aligned to Indiana Academic Standards that will equip and empower them to take this industry by force!

KIMBERLY JANELLE
TEACHING ARTIST-INTRO TO THE INDUSTRY
Kimberly is a print and commercial actor, signed to 3 agencies in the Midwest, with her most recent print work being for Meijer, Indiana Grand Casino and Community Health Network. She has always had an affinity for youth and started Kimberly Janelle Inc. as a way to educate and inspire young artists that were interested in the industry as a possible career. After months of coaching youth, Kimberly realized there was a greater need for training these young artists in their discipline. Hence, The Institute was born.
MARK DUERSON
TEACHING ARTIST-VOCALS
Born in Houston, TX, Mark’s journey to the arts began when his unique talent was discovered by his music teacher. In the midst of a challenging childhood, music became his outlet. Mark became a classically trained performer and has been a private vocal instructor for many years. He has worked with many choirs an varying artists throughout Indiana.
JAMAAL McCray
TEACHING ARTIST-THEATRE
Jamaal is a classically trained actor, director, and playwright. As an IU Bloomington student, Jamaal trained under Professors Murray McGibbon, Dale MacFadden and the phenomenal Edris Cooper. Jamaal’s independent projects merited the David Howe Award, which honors projects that show high levels of skill and creativity in acting, writing, directing and producing original work. Jamaal owns Ankh Productions with his partner, Chandra Lynch, while gracing stages throughout the city of Indianapolis.
AUSTIN "SIRLIMITLESS" DAY
TEACHING ARTIST-DANCE
Austin has traveled, performed, and danced with artists from all over the globe. On a larger scale, he has shared the stage with artists such as Madonna, and performed at events sponsored by brands such as Nike and the Super Bowl, just to name a few. Locally, Austin teaches classes to all ages around the city, instilling the mindset and work ethic of high level creatives.

TEACHING ARTISTS-MODELING
International model Alan Gibson has been blazing the runway as a featured model in events such as the Indiana Black Expo, and Midwest Fashion Week, as well as on Fox59 Morning News for celebrity stylist Nicole Rene. Designers and brands he has worked with include Nate Redd, Elan Furs, Michael Kors and GAP.
“Show Stoppa” Joy Dixon has been modeling for 20+ years, taking the breath away from all that watch her work. She has been a featured model in events such as the Indiana Black Expo, Meet The Artist, and ATL Fashion week, just to name a few. Designers and brands she has worked with include Nikki Blaine, Runway Diva, Korto Momolu (Project Runway) and Reco Chapple (House of Chapple).

THEATRE
Theatre—come and see just how FUN acting can be! You will learn how to master a monologue and leave with tons of tips and techniques to stretch your acting muscle! Wednesdays 6p-8p
INTRO TO THE INDUSTRY
Intro to the Industry—have you wondered if you have what it takes to be a successful artist? Regardless of your resume, you need to START HERE! It all starts with mindset and we talk about it HERE! Thursdays 6p-8p
MODELING
Modeling—did you know you don’t have to be 5’9 to be a “model”? Do you know the different types of models in the industry? Do you need help perfecting your WALK? Come learn from the BEST! Saturdays from 2p-4p
